(DJ) Fletch spinning Enjoy The Silence in Singapore

It is reasonably safe to say that if any member of Depeche Mode turns up somewhere these days, then someone will capture it on camera or video and post it online.

That’s the nature of the web.

I’m in Singapore this week with work, but also doing some research and writing for HALO, so I was curious about how many times the band had played here.

According to Songkick, sadly for Singaporean fans, just the once – March 1994 on the Devotional Tour.

Still, Fletch came back in 2011 to play one of his DJ sets at the famous Ku De Ta restaurant (an astonishing place perched, boat-like on top of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel).

YouTube, inevitably, has a clip from the night of Fletch banging out Enjoy The Silence for the masses.

Here are some crowd clips from the night, weirdly only showing Fletch arriving at the gig.

The mix of Just Can’t Get Enough playing in the background is a version aired during his set.

And, yes, I am working on the book 🙂
