Here is the first in a series of blog posts featuring Violator songs which ended up in movies.
The Devil’s Double, a biopic recounting the story of Saddam Hussein son Udday and a supposed double he used, made use of Personal Jesus for its cinema and online trailer in 2011.
There’s a tweak here and there on the mix to cut it into the visuals – in fact, to rather good effect.
Sadly for the producers, The Devil’s Double didn’t perform so well at the Box Office, taking just $5 million (it had an estimated budget of $20 million).
